Callo is a health coach you talk to over iMessage. This policy explains what we collect, why, who else touches it, and how to delete it. Plain language only.
What we collect
- The phone number or email you text Callo from.
- What you send: texts, photos and voice notes.
- What you share about yourself, your logs and reminders, and short notes Callo keeps so it doesn’t ask twice.
- Health data from apps you choose to connect.
- Basic operational data (timestamps, error logs) to keep Callo running.
What we don’t collect
- Your contacts or other conversations.
- Your location, unless you send it to Callo.
- Anything from your photo library that you didn’t send.
How we use it
- To reply to you with accurate, sourced answers.
- To remember your preferences and patterns across conversations.
- To send the check-ins and reminders you set up, and the occasional text when you’ve gone quiet.
- To find and fix bugs in how Callo behaves.
We don’t sell your data, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t train AI models on it.
Who else handles your data
We work with a small number of trusted service providers to run Callo: messaging (iMessage), AI processing, nutrition lookups, hosting, and monitoring. They only handle your data to provide those services, under agreements that keep it confidential and don’t allow it to be used to train their models. Nutrition lookups only ever receive food names, not who you are. Apps you choose to connect handle your data under their own terms.
How long we keep it
As long as you keep using Callo. You can delete everything at any time.
Deleting your data
Text Callo delete my data, or email chatwithcallo@gmail.com from the address you use with Callo. We’ll delete everything within 24 hours and confirm when it’s done. Full details: how deletion works.
Children
Callo isn’t meant for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, Callo will text you before it takes effect.
